A new ad deal between Google and eBay appeared to boost the stock market Monday, as the Dow Jones industrial average rose 68 points, while the Nasdaq Composite Index rose around 15 points. Google's
stock alone rose $7.69, or 2.06 percent. The
ad deal, announced Monday, calls for Google to
power text ads on eBay's non-U.S. properties. The two companies also will develop
pay-per-call ads.
