Colorful Brunette To Run Gray Lady

In a sweeping restructuring of its top management team, The New York Times Co. Thursday named long-time publisher Janet Robinson to succeed Russell Lewis as president-CEO when he retires at year-end. Robinson, who is currently senior vice president-newspaper operations, will be the first woman to run the Times' organization. During the interim Robinson will serve as COO and executive vice president of the company.
