Crooning legend Engelbert Humperdinck stars in Staples holiday ads, as a member of Staples' quirky "Department of Unexpected Gifts" team. The first U.S. commercials for Humperdinck, which were
prepared by McCann-Erickson, introduce viewers to such gift ideas as the iSpot Chair, a Staples exclusive that has in-arm speakers and a dock for iPods, a 12-by-18-inch color poster of the family, or
pre-packaged "Easy" buttons, with proceeds going to charity. And, of course, there's "A Merry Christmas with Engelbert Humperdinck" CD, also available at Staples. Ads begin this Sunday.
