General Motors Chooses Crossovers Over Minivans

General Motors is shelving plans to develop a new line of minivans as it shifts its focus to the growing crossover segment, a spokesperson said Wednesday. GM's decision follows one made by Ford Motor Co. GM spokesperson Chris Pruess said the new GM crossover line will compete directly with the shrinking minivan market, and that market already has three credible players: Chrysler, Toyota and Honda.
