Digital agency AKQA this month will open a virtual office in Second Life, the Web-based simulation game where users create their own characters and society. AKQA intends to recruit job applicants, host seminars and tap Second Life visitors to work on creative projects. The ad agency is one of a growing number of companies to recently set up an outpost in Second Life; last month, for example, Reuters opened a news bureau in the game.
