The Wall Street Journal is giving an early New Year's present to readers. The redesigned newspaper will launch Jan. 2, 2007; to get the public jazzed, some 500,000 copies will be free on
newsstands nationwide. It's also available gratis online. The revamped newspaper will increase its focus on interpreting--not just reporting--the news. Graphic changes include new content features,
easier navigation and better print-online alignment.
