Wireless handset maker Samsung Telecommunications America, a division of Samsung Electronics Co., is working with 20th Century Fox to create a limited edition phone to promote the "The Simpsons Movie," an upcoming film based on the animated TV series.

The phone will be the same color yellow as the Simpsons characters' skin, and will feature the movie's logo and the words "Special Edition." It will come pre-loaded with exclusive content from the film.

The companies will work together on other promotions in advance of the film's July 27 theatrical release, both said in a press release.

Multimedia cross-promotion is already underway at www.thesimpsons.com, where visitors can view the film's trailer and download it to their iPods. They also can download IM icons and get free mobile wallpaper by sending a text to code "20Fox". -- Emily Burg
