A&E Taps Adtech For Ad Serving

A&E Television Networks, which previously worked with ad-serving company Falk eSolutions, has signed Adtech to serve display ads on all its TV property Web sites, including AETV.com, History.com and Biography.com.

Sandra Krebelj, A&E's director of digital media ad operations, said the company was in the market for a new ad-serving company because Falk, their prior partner, was migrating its clients over to DoubleClick; Falk was acquired by DoubleClick last March.

Krebelj said A&E decided that a smaller company, like Adtech, was a better fit than DoubleClick. "We were impressed with their customer service and the personal attention that they offered us," she said. "We were concerned that with DoubleClick, we would not receive that same level of attention."

A&E's migration over to Adtech's platform, Helios IQ, is expected to be complete by the end of the mouth, Krebelj said. A&E's advertising clients include Hyundai, MasterCard, and the AARP.

Adtech, based in Frankfurt, Germany, has been working to expand its U.S. client base. In September 2006, the company opened a U.S. office, and in November, the company signed MusicNation, an online artist development company to its roster.
