MediaPost Realigns Online, Marketing And Magazine Teams

Laurie Petersen is the new executive editor of MediaPost, with responsibility for overseeing all online and interactive industry coverage--including Online Media Daily, OMMA magazine and the OMMA and Insider conferences. Petersen joined MediaPost last year to launch Marketing Daily, and will continue to oversee marketing coverage, with veteran industry editor Nina Lentini managing the day-to-day operations of the newsletter.

A veteran marketing editor and columnist, Petersen also brings a broad perspective from the online industry to her new role. She held senior editorial positions at TheDeal.com, Barnes & Noble.com and iVillage. In 1995, as editor in chief of Cowles New Media, she founded Media Central, the first Web site for media and marketing professionals.

Tobi Elkin, editor of MEDIA and OMMA magazines for the past two years, has been named editor-at-large with chief responsibilities for covering the online and digital media industry.

Wendy Davis succeeds Elkin as editor of the magazines, moving from her previous role as interactive editor, with chief responsibility for Online Media Daily.

Joe Mandese remains editor in chief of MediaPost.
