NBC Promotes Universal's 'Evan Almighty' Comedy

It's called maximizing your options. Working its marketing synergy to the fullest, NBC Universal will promote the new Universal Pictures summer movie "Evan Almighty" during an entire block of episodes this Thursday devoted to NBC's "The Office."

A long movie trailer will run in multiple episodes of the TV show on what NBC is calling "Night at the Office" on March 29. Both "The Office" and "Evan Almighty" star former "Daily Show" vet Steve Carell.

NBCU will also gain "Evan Almighty" traction on the syndicated evening entertainment magazine "Access Hollywood." The trailer and other content elements will air during the show's Wednesday and Thursday editions.

"Evan Almighty" is a sequel to the 2003 comedy "Bruce Almighty," which starred Jim Carrey. Carell will again play Evan Baxter, a local TV newscaster who competed with Carrey's character, Bruce Nolan. The movie debuts June 22.
