Chrysler Sponsors Digital Version Of Its Golf Championship

  • April 19, 2007
Chrysler is title sponsor of a video game called Chrysler Club Championship Challenge game, which is meant to be a digital version of the real-life Chrysler Club Championship event for amateur golfers. Game publisher WildTangent created the game, and Chrysler is cross promoting it with Callaway Golf.

Chrysler's golf tournament -- the real one -- runs from April through October and comprises the Chrysler Sebring Classic, Chrysler Aspen Championship, Chrysler 300C Open and the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic.

In the tournament, players' scores will be uploaded to an online leader board where they can track their progress and win instant prizes including Chrysler and Callaway Golf products. The top finalists from each of the four tournaments will be invited to participate in the Grand Prize Tournament - Winner Takes All event being held at the Merrill Lynch Shootout on Dec. 7 at Tiburon Golf Club in Naples, Fla. The Grand Prize Winner gets a 2008 Chrysler Sebring Convertible and an all-expenses paid trip to the 2008 Bob Hope Chrysler Classic.

The game can be downloaded for free at chryslerlinks.com, and is also available the WildTangent Game Console which comes with HP, Dell, Toshiba, and Gateway PCs. The game is also at wildtangent.com.--Karl Greenberg
