Alloy Inc. has acquired the operating assets of Frontline Marketing Inc, a point-of-purchase advertising provider, for about $5.8 million in a cash and stock deal. Frontline's in-store advertising and
display network extends to nearly 8,000 grocery stores, including the Safeway, Kroger and Albertsons chains. The deal gives Alloy clients reach into grocery stores and other mass merchants. "This
network enables us to reach consumers with relevant, point-of-purchase messages," said Samantha Skey, executive vice president, Alloy Media + Marketing. Alloy offers a variety of interactive, display
and direct-mail media programs, along with content production services and educational programming.
