Porter Novelli Launches Specialty Group

  • September 24, 2003
Porter Novelli, a wholly owned subsidiary of Omnicom Group, established the Porter Novelli Issue Advocacy, a specialty group within the firm's public affairs practice. With this introduction, Porter Novelli aims to lead the public affairs market for integrated issues management and advocacy advertising. Porter Novelli is now retiring the Goddard Claussen Porter Novelli name. PN's Issue Advocacy group is headed by Carolyn Tieger, a strategist with nearly three decades of experience managing issues and outreach at the White House, on Capitol Hill and with public affairs agencies. In a press release, Tieger commented: "We have the privilege of launching Porter Novelli Issue Advocacy at the same time we are leading the advocacy communications efforts for some of the most complex and closely watched legislative and regulatory battles in Washington. From class action and asbestos litigation reform to restoring Medicare funds for America's teaching hospitals, Porter Novelli Issue Advocacy is delivering our clients' messages through extraordinary earned media coverage and powerful print and broadcast advertising. We play to win."
