PARADE magazine has teamed with the National Football League to create the Community Quarterback Award program. With a presence in each of the NFL's 32 markets as well as three "at large" regions, the program is designed to honor individuals who have improved their community via volunteerism. The organizations affiliated with the award-winners will receive $10,000, with the national Community Quarterback's organization receiving an additional $25,000. "PARADE has a long-term commitment to honoring extraordinary individuals who make a big difference in their communities," said publisher Randy Siegel in a press release. "The NFL shares that commitment. We're proud to partner with them." Nominations for the awards can be submitted at www.jointheteam.com.
