New York City has resurrected K-Rock, dropping the all-talk format from WFNY-FM 92.3. The re-jiggered station kicked off its new format Thursday at 5 p.m. with Nirvana's "All Apologies." Owned by CBS
Radio, the station is retaining one aspect of its previous talk format--the "Opie & Anthony" show. But to prevent potential problems, K-Rock (now WXRK) will run it on substantial tape-delay.
