ANA Teams With NATAS For Broadband Emmy Awards

The Association of National Advertisers has teamed with the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences to promote the expanded broadband advertising Emmy Awards.

This year, advertisers and agencies can enter in four categories for work distributed between May 1, 2006 and April 30, 2007. The categories are:

  • Best use of commercial advertising on stand-alone broadband devices;

  • Best use of creation and distribution of interactive commercial advertising delivered through portable broadband devices;

  • Best use of creation and distribution of interactive commercial advertising delivered through multi-channel broadband devices (such as set-top boxes);

  • Best use of broadband for the development and delivery of commercial advertising in video games.

    Finalists will be announced at the ANA Annual conference in Phoenix in October. Winners will be announced and presented at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas on Jan. 7. Last year's Emmy Award for the best use by an advertiser of new media platforms and technology went to TiVo for its interactive advertising platform.
