Miller Publishing has poached Norb Garrett away from Primedia's Action Sports Group to serve as editorial director of Tennis and Where magazines. Garrett, a vice president and group publisher/editorial director at Primedia, previously oversaw redesigns of a handful of publications (Surfer, Bike, Snowboarder and Powder) and launched two others (AXIS and SG: Surf, Snow, Skate Girl).

"Norb has had a tremendous impact at every publishing group where he has worked," said Miller Publishing Group president and chief executive officer Robert Miller. "He now has an opportunity to energize several titles with an incredible history." Garrett will work alongside Miller on acquisitions and new launches.

Prior to his Primedia tenure, Garrett served as creative director of EMAP Metro Sports Group. His first publishing job was launch editor of College Sports Magazine.
