AOL on Thursday launched a
beta of Web Mail with AIM, a free service that allows users to simultaneously send email and AIM instant messages from the same
application. AOL also released a new
AIM WIMZI Widget, allowing bloggers, Web site owners and anyone with a social networking profile to instant message anonymously
with site visitors.
AOL also said that it now offers POP3 access, in addition to IMAP support, so that users can access their AOL Mail using any mail client program. And AOL's unlimited e-mail
storage has now been extended to aim.com and "My eAddress" users.
