Ball State University Monday said it is naming a new campus building - the just completed $21 million communication and media facility - after one of its most prominent alumni: Late night TV host
David Letterman. Effective Sept. 7, the building, home to Ball State's highly regarded Center for Media Design, will bear Letterman's name. Letterman and Garfield creator Jim Davis are perhaps the
best known of Ball State's media industry alumni, but the school has an impressive track record of grooming media industry talent, including some student Academy Awards winners.
