ValueClick Cites ISPs For Commission Junction Ad Outage

Users who couldn't view ads from ValueClick's Commission Junction division during a 24-hour period this weekend have only Comcast and other ISPs to blame for the broken links, according to the company. ValueClick said the problem, which occurred from 9 a.m. Saturday to 9 a.m. Sunday EST, was caused by the ISPs' DNS servers not correctly resolving Commission Junction's ad serving domains. "As a result, no ads were displayed for the affected users," the company said. "Commission Junction's DNS servers were operating correctly during this outage, so the issue was solely related to the third parties."
