Gap Takes To The Streets

Starting yesterday, America will vote for the winners of the Gap Casting Call, a nationwide contest to find customers to feature in a Gap ad campaign. Each of the 24 finalists now has a chance to be featured in a Gap print ad in 2003. This week, photos of the 24 finalists will appear in all Gap store windows in the U.S. Gap customers in the U.S. can to vote for their favorites beginning January 20 at gap.com and at Gap stores beginning January 21. In addition, photos, bios and video clips of the finalists are featured on gap.com. During the weeks of November 15 and December 1, more than 200,000 men, women, boys, girls and babies representing every state in the country entered for a chance to appear in a Gap print ad in 2003. Gap judges reviewed the entries and chose 36 semi-finalists who were flown to San Francisco to be photographed during the week of December 15. Six winners will be selected and announced by March 2003. Each of the six winners will appear in a Gap print ad in 2003.
