Local Directory go2 Merges With 80108 Media

Mobile search and directory services company go2 and local mobile content provider 80108 Media have merged under the new name go2 Media. The merger is aimed at combining go2's local directory capability with 80108's network of local correspondents sending out mobile updates about local events and news. Go2 operates a variety of online and mobile sites focused on categories including dining, movies, pets and golf. It also has content deals with major wireless operators and mobile media providers including Yahoo. The merged company will be led by Rob Adler, currently CEO of 80108 Media.
