HealthCentral Network Adds Drug Information

The HealthCentral Network (THCN) has launched HealthSquare.com, a drug and medicine-focused property, to its network of patient-centric health sites. With HealthSquare.com, users and advertisers gain a more focused, condition-specific online resource, and advertisers gain another highly targeted collection of sites to reach them.

In addition to in-depth drug information supplied from such sources as Harvard Health Publications and Physicians Desk Reference, Arlington-based THCN bundled continually updated news feeds into the site, and HealthSquare.com is linked to all of the other properties within the network--connecting users to forums, member profiles, and recipes from foodfit.com that are specifically geared to people with certain conditions.

Users will find physician-approved information throughout THC--with the ability to ask doctors and health experts specific drug questions, and to see the questions that others have asked.

"Rather than simply offer an encyclopedia of drug information online, HealthSquare is a vibrant interactive resource built around the patient," said Chris Schroeder, CEO and president of The HealthCentral Network. "Finding reliable information about a specific drug is valuable; finding tools and insights that address your individual needs can be life-changing."

THCN's health advertising network includes both "owned and operated sites" like HealthSquare (and condition-specific sites like HighBloodPressureConnection.com), as well as affiliate sites. Part of the company's forward-moving strategy is to add more targeted affiliates to expand reach for advertisers.
