Addendum: Google TV Ads Claims 13 Million Households, Retains Rick Servaitis

A Google spokesperson says its Google TV Ads system currently offers TV advertising buys reaching 13 million households, not the 4 million households cited by media buyers in a MediaDailyNews story last week ("GroupM Backs Addressable TV Ad Firm, Cable Industry Preps Own Initiative"). In Addition, the spokesperson said it had hired former GM Mediaworks chief, and long-time cable TV sales executive, Rick Sirvaitis as an "advisor." Sirvaitis had previously been named a member of addressable TV advertising developer Invidi Technologies advisory board.
