AOL has launched a syndicated political polling widget called "Hot Seat" that will feature questions from top political blogs including The Huffington Post, The Politico and Power Line. Hot Seat will be featured on AOL News, and on AOL's Elections section and Political Machine blog as well as on third-party sites. The political widget will show results on both a national and state-by-state level and let users discuss their views. It will also give candidates a chance to respond to questions and comment on the results. The move reflects a growing effort to by AOL and other Web portals to provide election-year content leading up to 2008.
