LA Newspapers Get AdStar Classifieds

AdStar has signed a contract with the Los Angeles Newspaper Group (LANG), a division of MediaNews Group, to provide Web-based classified advertising sales functionality for LANG's eight member websites. As a result of the agreement, AdStar will power the online classified ad transaction services for LANG's newspapers, including the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin (, Long Beach Press-Telegram (, Los Angeles Daily News (, Pasadena Star-News (, Redlands Daily Facts (, San Bernardino County Sun (, San Gabriel Valley Tribune (, and the Whittier Daily News ( The combined Sunday circulation of these newspapers is more than 585,000. LANG is owned by MediaNews Group -- the seventh largest newspaper company in the United States, which publishes 50 daily newspapers and 94 non-daily publications in 12 states.
