Apple Is Most Searched-For Stock, Google Not Far Behind

Apple (APPL) was the most searched-for stock in terms of query volume in 2007--clocking in an average of 362,000 unique searchers per month, according to Compete.

Google (GOOG) took the number-two spot with some 330,000 uniques per month, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) averaged some 210,000.

In contrast, the Top 100 stocks--which include companies like Exxon Mobil (EXO) and Pfizer (PFE)--only averaged some 91,000 unique searchers per month from January to December 2007.
