Marketers Say Email Performs Better Than Search and Display
Jan 23, 2008, 8:00 AM
Some 80% of marketers report that email is the strongest performing media buy, ahead of search and display ads, according to the results of a new survey from Datran Media.
The New York-based email and digital marketing services provider conducted its second annual Marketing & Media Survey in December 2007, polling more than 2,000 marketers, and found that 82% of respondents planned to increase their use of email marketing in '08. Additionally, 67% of respondents said that email has helped boost sales from other channels, and 55% said that they expect ROI from email to be higher than any other digital channel.
Marketers from over 90 companies such as OgilvyOne Worldwide, Avenue A / Razorfish and QVC participated in the survey, with complete results available at Datran Media Success http://www.datranmedia.com/2008survey.
