Hearst Extends CD-ROM Program

Hearst Brand Development and RFM Broadcasting are partnering to create and distribute a total of 150,000 custom CD-ROMs in the July issue of three Hearst magazines. RFM has developed 100,000 CD-ROMs for Redbook, plus 25,000 for Marie Claire and 25,000 for Popular Mechanics. The CD-ROMs, entitled "BestPreviews", contain music videos, movie trailers and software tailored to each publication. A&E Network, Universal Music, Miramax, Buena Vista Home Entertainment, Cartoon Network and New Line Cinema provided video content. Advertisers include American Express, Oxygen Cable Network, BMG Music, CDNOW, Nicoderm CQ and Showtime.
