Mother's Day Boosts Traffic To Etailers

Nielsen//NetRatings reports that several ecommerce sites posted double and triple-digit growth during the week ending May 11, as surfers shopping for Mother's Day gifts helped boost traffic. Traffic to Proflowers.com skyrocketed 154% to 406,000 surfers, as compared to 160,000 surfers the previous week. Hallmark.com attracted nearly 1.8 million surfers from home, increasing 112%. Top pages revealed that surfers were shopping, in addition to sending online greetings. Flower etailer, 1800flowers.com, jumped 104% to 831,000 surfers, while FTD.com spiked 94% to 648,000 surfers. Rounding out the top five fastest growing gift etailers, Victoriassecret.com surged 45% to 382,000 surfers.
