  • May 8, 2008
Giant Realm has received a $2 million investment from SoftBank Capital--bringing the total amount of its Series A funding to $5.5 million.

The New York-based entertainment and gaming-focused online publisher group snagged a $3.5 million investment led by Comcast Interactive Capital in April. As part of this new investment, SoftBank Capital partner Jordan Levy will join Giant Realm's board of directors, and partner Michael Perlis will be a board observer.

In addition, Giant Realm has appointed Alan Pearlberg vice president of business development. In his newly created role, Pearlberg will head company operations, manage the publisher group, and help plot Giant Realm's long term growth plans. Pearlberg most recently served as co-founder and COO of ElephantDrive and the MediaMath display ad exchange.
