Now Playing At A Theater Near You: The Mets

  • May 20, 2008
New York-based Mets fans can now watch the game in a movie theatre.

The Mets, which last year inked a deal with in-cinema ad company Screenvision for "Mets at the Movies" at the 1,100-seat Ziegfeld Theater in Manhattan is doing it again.

This Wednesday's Mets-versus-Braves game will be screened in hi-def at three Clearview Cinemas: Chelsea Cinemas (Manhattan), Parsippany Cinemas (New Jersey), and Port Washington Cinemas (Long Island). Tickets are $12 and are on sale now at (718) 507-TIXX or visit Mets.com/movies.

To keep the atmosphere Shea-like, the screenings will include t-shirt launches, fan giveaways, and other Shea favorites like Mr. Met and the Pepsi Party Patrol.

There will be more "Mets at the Movies" events on July 17 and Aug. 27 with locations to be announced in the weeks ahead.--Karl Greenberg
