Marks Moves On From PHD

  • June 27, 2003
Mickey Marks, President of PHD New York and San Francisco, has decided to leave the company. In 1993 Marks joined Rick Glosman and Bob Hanley in a small, entrepreneurial media independent called Creative Media. After building it into a $160 millioncompany, it became Omnicom's first acquisition in the media independent space. Marks evolved into general management of the agency. In 2001 after 8 successful years with the company he was appointed President and CEO. Marks said in a PHD internal memo that he could depart the company "knowing that our clients and the many talented people here are in a great position for continued success, and that PHD is poised to take a market-leading position as a next generation communications services firm." He will remain available to the company and the senior team through the end of July.
