Rainbow Ups Female Muscle With Revamped WE Site

womansmuscleRainbow's WE network said it is launching a redesigned Web site offering a range of Web-only video content. The re-launch comes as NBC Universal is trying to create a potent Web of advertiser options to target women with its Bravo, Oxygen and iVillage brands.

WE General Manager Kim Martin said: "This new Web site furthers our mission to be the leading entertainment brand for women on every platform."

Exclusive video content coming to WEtv.com includes "Puppy Weddings," about nuptials involving the animals, and "She Got Game," where women are surprised while shopping and given the chance to win the items they are interested in purchasing.

The network did not mention whether there are plans to stream full episodes of on-air offerings.

The new site will also include several vertical channels, such as "WE are Single" and "WE are Expecting," with content dedicated to each topic--including user-generated video looking to facilitate the sharing of personal stories.
