  • May 29, 2008
The reality television show "Speeders," which airs on the Turner Broadcast Network truTV, formerly Court TV, will unveil an online marketing campaign to create awareness for the show. The Facebook application, called Violations, created by advertising firm Brand Networks allows users to send humorous, fun, quirky icons to friends who have been busted in compromising situations. The application launches Wednesday to coincide with the start of the new season.

< Jason Valentzas, VP of consumer marketing at truTV, says a page created on Facebook called Actuality Addicts and an email newsletter blast to Speeders fans will market the app. Consumers will have the option to choose from 12 violations, from improper table dancing, to drunk texting. The violations are issued to friends on Facebook. The quirky marketing campaign aims to drive consumers back to the television to watch the show.
