Presidential Worth: Interpublic Group Promotes $1 Coin

one dollar coinInterpublic Group agencies GolinHarris, Campbell-Ewald and Momentum Worldwide have partnered to win the United States Mint's contract to support the new presidential $1 coin.

 

The coins are issued in the order that they served, beginning with Presidents Washington, Adams, Jefferson and Madison in 2007. The United States Mint will mint and issue four Presidential $1 Coins per year, and each will have a reverse design featuring a striking rendition of the Statue of Liberty. For 2008: James Monroe, John Quincy Adams, Andrew Jackson, and Martin Van Buren.

Working together as the Real Change Partnership, the agencies will develop an integrated marketing communications platform designed to increase circulation and usage of the presidential $1 coin through consumer and retailer education and public relations, promotions, and advertising.

GolinHarris will lead the Real Change Partnership team and manage public relations activities. Campbell-Ewald is responsible for consumer advertising and helping to develop the campaign's circulation message strategy.

Momentum Worldwide will build and manage collaborative relationships with national and local retailers to develop in-store and event activation programs across multiple categories.
