Answers Corp. Looks To Conduit For Toolbar Solutions

  • June 3, 2008
Answers Corp., creators of Answers.com and WikiAnswers.com, has selected Conduit to power a downloadable toolbar that offers one-point access to both sites, along with a link to the company's 1-Click Answers software tool. Conduit is a provider of website syndication solutions for web publishers.

According to a recent Hitwise study, visits to question-and-answer sites in the U.S. have increased by 889% in the past two years. Answers Corp. is looking to increase its share of these visits even further by offering tools such as this new toolbar to visitors of its different sites, to trigger more interaction and to make access to answers and the community as simple as clicking a button.

"We're always looking to leverage our signature positions with both Answers.com and WikiAnswers.com with innovative new services that will help us introduce visitors to the great information they can find on our other sites," said Bob Rosenschein, CEO of Answers Corp. "Our new Answers toolbar is a great way to take the best parts of each of our sites and put them in front of our users wherever they browse. Conduit has allowed us to extend our Answers.com brand and facilitate more interaction and participation from the WikiAnswers.com community, which ultimately leads to more valuable content."
