Content will encompass player updates, columns, breaking news and blogs as well as data gleaned from CBSSports.com's base of fantasy sports players. The site will also offer a mock fantasy football draft free of charge and a video player on the home page with CBS fantasy sports programming hosted by Jason Horowitz and Amber Wilson.
The announcement came a day after the Supreme Court refused to take a case in which Major League Baseball had argued that fantasy baseball providers (such as CBSSports.com) should not be able to use the names or stats of MLB players without licensing agreements.
A CBS spokesperson said the timing of its announcement was coincidental.
