New York magazine is going national with its purchase of Menupages.com, a Web site that aggregates restaurant menus and Web sites in a number of major U.S. cities, according to Gawker.com,
which reported the news Friday. Although
New York refused to confirm the rumor, the purchase would be in keeping with the magazine's aggressive online strategy, which has focused on building
traffic with the addition of useful service features, multimedia, and social network programs. --Erik Sass
