By The Numbers: Nickelodeon Sites Grow Traffic

mynoggin screenshotViacom's kids' entertainment businesses keep growing online monthly traffic. Nickelodeon--and its MTVN Kids associated sites--say it had its best numbers ever in June for the number of monthly unique viewers.

According to comScore, Nickelodeon and MTV Network Kids sites posted a collective 5% improvement to 28.6 million visitors in June versus May, and a 13% gain year-to-year.

In a release, Nickelodeon also said its visitors averaged 88.1 minutes on its sites in June, a gain of 10% from May. Total time spent was more than 2.5 billion minutes--up 16% over May. Total visits in June were 143.8 million--12% higher versus the previous month.

Some of its better performers included AddictingGames.com, which grew 5% to 10.7 million visitors; ParentsConnect, which went to 1.2 million unique visitors in June, a 15% gain over May; Noggin.com, up 9% to 1.9 million visitors; iCarly.com, now at 3.4 million unique visitors, up 27%; and Neopets, with a 22% gain to 3.4 million visitors.

For the collective Nick.com sites, unique monthly visitors were 6% higher, to 10.7 million visitors.

The group's game sites--which reach 20 million game players monthly, according to comScore Media Metrix--will add 1,600 new games to its existing library of 5,000 games.
