Pew: U.S. Newspapers Dramatically Cut Foreign Coverage

The Press Gazette reports that American newspapers have cut back dramatically on foreign news. A Pew Research study found that of 250 papers surveyed, 66% cut back on foreign coverage, although the U.S. is involved in wars, the global economy is stressed and foreign oil dependence is becoming a crisis. The reasons cited were falling revenue, shrinking pages, cut staff and declining circulation.
