iVillage's Momtourage Rolls Out Facebook Apps
The "My Momtourage" app is a messaging-based widget, which lets users send personalized "shout outs" and post public questions, as well as chat privately while on Facebook. Moms can also add pictures of friends and family to the collective Momtourage photo board with the app. The widget also includes "Momscopes," a unique take on horoscopes. Created by a team at sister site Astrology.com, the Momscopes offer astrological insights with details that are most pertinent to moms.
Meanwhile, the "What Kind of Mom Are You?" app questions users about their parenting style and then equates their answers with a specific category, including Green Moms, Vogue Moms and Manager Moms. After taking the quiz, moms can display a Momtourage badge on their Facebook profile. --Tameka Kee
