Glam Media has appointed Yukihiro Yamamura to CEO of its newly formed subsidiary Glam Media Japan KK, and as a vice president of Glam Media, Inc. Glam plans to officially launch its Japanese site and publisher network later this year.

Yamamura joins Glam from DoubleClick Japan, where he was CEO and most recently from Excite Japan, where he was CEO since 1999. Later at Excite, Yamamura launched the company in 2002 as subsidiary of Itochu Corporation and managed it since then as a separate, publicly listed entity. --Tanya Irwin
