CNN Delays Broadcast for Safety

CNN has been granted permission to film Utah's Olympic Public Safety Command at work, but first had to agree to delay the broadcast until after the 2002 Winter Olympics. A similar documentary by the cable network was shown before the 1996 Atlanta Games, and Utah officials were concerned about disclosing their security arrangements. CNN national correspondent Mike Boettcher told a board of Olympic commanders the network will wait for the end of the Feb. 8-24 games before showing the one-hour documentary.
