Travel Ad Network Adds Social Travel Guide, IATA Site To Roster

  • August 26, 2008
Travel Ad Network (TAN) had added two new sites to its roster: Tripwolf, a social travel guide currently boasting more than 7,500 members, and the IATA Travel Centre, which offers advice on passports, visa and health documentation for international travelers.

At tripwolf.com, users will find editorial and video content from established travel guide publishers, as well as fellow travel hounds. The site currently serves English- and German-speaking markets, and TAN will represent tripwolf's U.S. and Canadian inventory. According to Cree Lawson, TAN's founder and CEO, travelers using tripwolf are "guaranteed to find secret and off-the-beaten-path spots that are generally hard to find on the Web."

Meanwhile, the International Air Transport Association (IATA)'s Travel Centre aims to offer users the most accurate and up-to-date information about international travel requirements at iatatravelcentre.com. The site's database pulls data from over 1,000 sources--including immigration and police departments, as well as 230 airlines, with an interface that allows users to search for requirements on a per-destination basis. "It has become a very important destination site for people who want to be sure their travel documents are in order for hassle-free travel," Lawson said. --Tameka Kee
