Argentine Cable Advertising Increases

Argentina -- Advertising through cable television increased by 105% in the last six months according to the Cable and Internet Advertising Bureau. With 5.4mil homes connected to cable television, Argentina is in the third place in terms of cable penetration after the United States and Canada, and is the leader in Latin America in terms of advertising in this media. In 2000, the country had a gross turnover of Pesos $230mil, 12% more than in the previous year in cable television advertising.
