Turner Inks Dreamworks

Turner Broadcasting System Inc., and DreamWorks SKG, have announced a broadcast licensing agreement allowing the cable network to air such movies as “Gladiator,” “American Beauty” and “Cast Away.” Turner will pay $350 million to $450 million for rights to broadcast 74 DreamWorks films released between 1997 and 2007. In 1999, Turner signed a smaller syndication deal for about 50 DreamWorks films.
