Did Interpublic's Brian Wieser Just Tip Media Bank's Hand?

Wieser put Media Bank on an even keel with industry mainstay Donovan Data Systems when he posed a question to Spark Capital’s Dennis Miller about Twitter.

“How integrated is Twitter with Donovan and Media Bank,” Wieser grilled. His point, of course, was that unless emerging media platforms like Twitter can be bought and managed through Madison Avenue’s media buying systems, it will be very hard to get them integrated into the way big media agencies process media buys.

What I found interesting, was that Wieser signaled out Media Bank, which is an outlier that has been trying to muscle its way into the industry â€" largely on the basis that it has created a new, state-of-the-art data processing system capable of handling new and emerging digital media platforms â€" and the fact that Interpublic is poised to announce a new long-term contract following a review that has been narrowed down to incumbent Donovan and challenger Media Bank.

Maybe Wieser just shared an insight about that decision. It’s supposed to be announced any day now.
