Pangea Media has acquired LaughNetwork, a group of Web sites focused on humor, quizzes and casual entertainment. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

LaughNetwork includes more than 100 sites like Funnies.com, HopelessRomantic.com and PositiveThoughts.com that snag over 200,000 unique visitors daily. The sites--which feature greeting cards, viral flash clips, jokes and quizzes--are right in line with Boston-based Pangea Media's pre-established network of quiz and pop culture-focused sites. --Tameka Kee
