  • September 26, 2008
Just in time to compete with MySpace Music, AOL Music has relaunched its music site, Spinner.com, which provides music fans with news, videos, free MP3s, artist interviews, songs, live performances, as well as editorial features.

The relaunch features a new look, easier search functionality and a new tool bar that will allow users to listen to Spinner's MP3 of the day (as well as access past MP3s of the day) while browsing the site.

According to comScore, Spinner receives an average of over 3.4 million unique visitors a month in 2008 (almost a 60% increase from last year's average) and garnering an average of almost 32 million monthly page views.

Based on those statistics, Spinner is now being launched internationally including Netherlands, Poland and Spain, with plans to launch in additional countries by year's end, according to the company. AOL Music also has launched TheBoot.com (for country fans) and TheBoombox.com (for hip hop fans). --Tanya Irwin
